Made in America;Making Skin Beautiful

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 | News | No Comments

Producing seaweed-based skincare products since 1980, Lydia Sarfati and her Repechage team take pride in that they are
one of the few remaining cosmetic companies that manufacture in the United States, thus supporting the economy by providing jobs for American families.

The corporate headquarters, located in Secaucus, NJ, is home to its manufacturing, training, and research and
development facilities.  Sarfati, along with her team of experts, develop and manufacture their revered products,
including the Vita Cura and Biolight lines, at this location.  Repechage educates their clients on the numerous benefits of using seaweed-based products, including the hydrating, anti-aging, and detoxifying qualities that suit a range of skin conditions and
types.

The Sarfatis are passionate about working with families and small business owners to supply the botanical products and treatments they have become known for.   Repechage products arrived on VM shelves in April 2011, with only the Eye Rescue Pads and Vita Cura Opti-Lift Serum available for retail and for use in our facial treatments. We are proud to be able to now
provide our clients with the complete brightening Biolight line, as well as the anti-aging Vita Cura products that complement the Vita Cura Opti-Lift Serum.

We encourage our clients to try the new 50 minute Biolight Peel and 75 Minute Vita Cura Treatment being offered in our spa
to address issues such as uneven skin tone, hyper-pigmentation, elasticity, and aging. Ask your client service representative today for full details at 732-636-0119, and you, too, can experience the instant and invigorating results of Repechage!

Growing my Career at Vito Mazza’s

Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 | News | No Comments

I’ve been a client service representative
at Vito Mazza for a little over a year now, and I think it’s time to take the
next step.  No, I’m not leaving the VM
family! Bite your tongue! When I started at VM, I had the goal of becoming an
esthetician, and now, after a few minor setbacks, I’m finally on my way to
accomplishing that goal!

I’m not going to say that I’ve wanted to
become an esthetician ever since I was a little girl. (Actually, on my first
grade career day, I declared I wanted to be a babysitter. Obviously, my six
year old self did not know how hard it is to take care of other children, but I
had a baby doll and she seemed pretty easy, so how hard could it be?) My
interest in skincare arose when, like many other teenagers have experienced and
will experience for years and years to come, I got my first pimple. Of course,
everyone else around me was going through a similar experience, but at
thirteen, everyone else’s skincare problems were not my concern when I woke up
in the morning and Mount Vesuvius had erupted on my chin. Throughout the years,
I scrambled to find products to help my skin and also tried to educate myself
the best I could from the best resources I had at hand, Seventeen Magazine and Teen
Vogue
, which if you didn’t know, are very well-respected publications at
the age of fourteen.  I always believed
that, since we take care of our bodies, carefully choosing what nutritional
foods to eat, we take care of our hair, taking notice of what products we use,
we should take just as much care of our largest organ, our skin.

After I graduated high school, I still
didn’t realize how much a career in skin care would benefit me. I graduated and
enrolled in college, like many of my peers were doing. I had always loved
learning so it seemed like the next reasonable thing to do, but after a
semester, I realized something.  My heart
just wasn’t in it. If there’s anything you should know about me, it’s that
everything that I do, I have to put myself in it 100%, even the most trivial
tasks. And if I didn’t feel like I was being productive in my current
situation, and many major obstacles were in my path, then my gut was right when
it was telling me that this wasn’t the path for me. After that, I didn’t have a
plan as to what education I was going to receive. I knew I wanted to study
something, whether it was to receive a degree or study a trade. I was a
crossroads, an almost-but-not really quarter-life crisis, and I didn’t like it
one bit. (I’m a planner, so when I don’t have a plan, I feel anxious.) It took
a conversation between some friends and me for me to finally realize that
extracting blackheads could be a career. (Before I get some estheticians angry,
let me be clear when saying, they do much more than just extract blackheads,
but you understand what I’m saying!) I absolutely love working with people, and
being an esthetician would give me the chance to help many people deal with
their skincare problems but most importantly, understand their skin, something that would have been very helpful
to my fourteen year old self!

I look forward to growing with the VM
family in the next couple of years. (Figuratively, of course, because at 5’1”,
I’ve come to terms with the fact that I won’t be growing much anymore, even if
I’m still a 5’11” Brazilian supermodel in my head.) I’m excited to experience
the transition from client service representative to esthetician, and excited
to see what the New Year will bring once I graduate.  I hope to meet some of you soon, if we
haven’t met already, and maybe, just maybe, one day I’ll be able to call some
of you my clients!

Thanks for reading! ):

Being the New Girl at Vito Mazza’s

Friday, March 25th, 2011 | News | No Comments

I come from an environment where I know I have to perform my best every day, and always had that mentality- I always take what lessons I have learned in life and I just keep going.  Being a massage therapist for two and half years, I became involved with the SPA Industry at another day spa.  I’m grateful for that door opening –it was a new opportunity to develop as a Massage Therapist. Becoming part of the  ‘Vito Mazza Family’, I have found that *everyone* is a shining star and works together as a real team- I know that here I can fulfill my passion of healing others and  continue to grow  in a positive working environment!

THANK YOU: Jenny
